In the winter of 2014, a longtime friend, Jeff Oliviera, founder of skiChina.com, asked if I wanted to come on a ski trip and document what we found.  With a small camera, a few microphones, and skis, we were off.  We spent 3.5 weeks flying from one mountainous region to the next, all over China.  The result was a short documentary that was nominated for the Cold Smoke Film Festival people’s choice award and premiered at the Boston Winter Film Festival in 2014.  The short film sparked the interest of many journalists, photographers and filmmakers, and in 2015 Jeff was able to launch a guiding service for Ski China.
